New Winter and Spring Paddling Dates Announced!

New Dates Added 

You asked for it and we answered! Due to the popularity of our winter paddles and pool clinics we have decided to add additional dates and times to the calendar, and even dreamed up some new offerings! Dates are listed below, and full details can be found at the respective webpages! These are a great way to keep your skills sharp, or learn new ones, during the typical “off season” and are a ton of fun to boot!

  • BRAND NEW Whitewater Boat focused Open Pool Session at Riverton Pool – February 19th, 12pm-2pm – an open practice session for anyone who wants to practice their flips, tricks, and rolls! A great way to meet other boaters! Though this session is mainly focused on whitewater boats all are welcome!
  • Rescue Clinic at Riverton PoolMarch 5th, 11am – Come learn the essential self and partner rescue skills needed to paddle on the open ocean, taught by some of our most experienced ACA certified instructors!
  • Spring Equinox Casco Bay PaddleMarch 19th, 12pm – Come celebrate the lengthening and warming days with us on this relaxing chilly weather paddle!
  • Rolling Clinic at Riverton PoolMay 14th, 11:30am – Learn the basics of rolling a sea kayak from our talented instructors! We will teach you the foundational skills needed to roll a kayak and begin practicing this incredible skill!

Back by Popular Demand

Additionally, for those looking to brush up on their sea kayak skills, we are bringing back our ever popular four-part online clinic, The Ocean Skills Workshop! Workshop clinics are conducted over zoom and can be signed up for individually or as a package. Topics covered include paddling fundamentals, navigation, the ocean environment, and trip planning. This course is taught by some of our most experienced guides, Zack and Suzanne, and is a great way to build you skills ahead of the summer season. Full details can be found here!

These dates join our Maine Guide School, and previously scheduled Pool Sessions on our Winter-Spring events calendar, as well as two brand new Multiday trip offerings, four new weekend long Skills Workshops covering a variety of topics and experience levels, and a host of other tours and lessons happening this summer!
