Check Out Our Schedule of Lessons & Workshops for Summer 2024

We’re expanding our weekend skills workshops and offering our full range of sea kayaking classes for all skill levels

Our 2024 lessons and workshops schedule is here! It might seem early, but we like to plan ahead and we thought you would too 😉

Options for Beginners

If you’ve been thinking about trying out sea kayaking but don’t know where to start, our series of intro lessons is a perfect fit! Whether you’re brand new to paddling entirely, or have been in boats your whole life but never a sea kayak, this three part series (Intro 1, Intro 2, and Basic Rescues) will give you all the knowledge you need to start exploring the wide open ocean in a fun, safe, and supportive way!

New this year: Women at Sea Workshops and Greenland Kayaking Workshops

We’re excited to announce two new weekend workshops: Women at Sea and Greenland Kayaking!

Our Women at Sea Weekend Workshop is for female-identifying paddlers ranging from novice to intermediate. The workshop will be led by Suzanne Blackburn, local paddling legend and one of our lead guides. The course will focus on skill development and refinement across a range of kayaking topics, in a fun, supportive, community atmosphere, in order to help participants feel confident, safe, and independent on the water!

Our Greenland Kayaking Weekend Workshop offers an introduction to the traditional paddling technique of the Greenland Qajaq and is taught by renowned instructors Cheri Perry and Turner Wilson. This workshop will offer you a totally fresh perspective on kayaking!

Offerings for Seasoned Paddlers Too

For experienced paddlers we have a number of exciting opportunities as well to expand your skill set and try out new sub-genres of kayaking. Whether you want the adrenaline rush of roughwater, the solitude of island camping, or the traditional feel and physical puzzle of traditional Greenland style paddling and rolling, we are sure we can teach you something new, or improve the skills you’ve already developed!

And of course, if you’re somewhere between the never-evers and the lifelong obsessives, we have all the navigation, boat control, and seamanship classes you’d need to get to the next step!
